I like our circulatory system demonstration, because the whole classroom becomes a model of the human body. The kids get to play the role of moving cells, which makes it interactive and fun.
What is your favorite part of Science Detectives?
The kids! Their excitement and enthusiasm for knowledge are what make me look forward to teaching every week.
Why did you join the program?
I was interested in taking a proactive role in improving our education system.
What else do you do at ASU?
I research low levels of contaminants in water systems. I’m involved in the Mayo Clinic at the Barrett Honors Society, I’m a member of BLAST, and I dance for the ASU club Free Dance.
